Feck things are busy in the Xebidy world. Mat and I went to Sydney for the Backpackers Expo week and have not had a chance to even follow up properly since then. Normally I try and put up a post when we get a new site live but even that has eluded me. Here are two new sites we have delivered in the last month alone (to tell you the truth our rock-star Content Manager Nicole Mclean even has to do my blogging for me now):
Land Landscape Architects Queenstown
Land landscape Architects are a Queenstown-based company that came to us for advice on how to create a visually compelling web presence. Together with Toby Eglesfield (our contract designer) we came up with a website package that would set this landscape architecture firm apart from their competitors. The driving theme behind the project was that the website had to be modern with a strong use of design elements and imagery to reflect what Land are all about.
The resulting website uses some very cool graphics which play out on the Land logo. This textural element not only looks awesome, but is highly functional as the navigational buttons are integrated within it.
The website was built on Bootstrap (our content management system built on the open source Silverstripe). The client is able to update content as needed with this easy-to-use CMS.
Of course our coding is as clean as, thus maximizing the website’s listing on search engines.
Salomon Southern Tri Series
Another project that we have been working on (and are continuing to roll out) is for Iconic Adventures. These are the guys that run the legendary Motatapu mountain biking and marathon event. Iconic in fact run several fantastic events, including the Salomon Southern Tri Series and they needed a website to showcase this particular series.
We wanted to create a web presence that would sit comfortably with Iconic Adventures, but would enable each event they run to take on its own identity. The Salomon Southern Tri Series website is a great looking and highly functional website. It is information rich, visually exciting and enables competitors to enroll in any of the events.
Watch this space, as we continue with this exciting multi-stage project. We will be using social media tools to enable competitors to share their photo and video footage, keep tabs on how their mates are getting on each event (and how these compare over the years) and of course track their own times and performance.

Congratulations on being to busy, sure beats the alternative doesn’t it?
The blogging schedule is definitely a hard one to keep up once you start getting busy…
